Golden Tulip is located only 9 km of the Dam in Amsterdam and in the centre of the typical Dutch country with the Tsaar Peterhuisje and the Zaanse Schans. The Zaanstreek knows many traces to the past but also unmistakable lines to the future can be found in this area full of contrast. A typical Dutch landscape, below the sea level, with thousands of ditches and meadows. And with the Zaan, an age-old river of peat with 9 villages and 1 city. An area you can explore in different ways and discover by bike, car and/or walking routes. Those who want to visit the Zaanstreek have a lot of possibilities: mills, museums, the Zaanse Schans, the Zaandam natural beauty and not to forget the colourful history.
